Love Letter Writing with Smythson of Bond Street
Inspired by the Arts and Crafts Movement legend May Morris and her pre-Raphaelite Valentine to George Bernard Shaw, join us to create your own Valentine’s Day card + love letter. You’ll have the opportunity to explore different media from pen and ink to watercolour, to craft your very own decorative floral motifs. Luxury stationers Smythson of Bond Street have generously provided cards so you can write the perfect romantic note.
Roses & Regrets with NOSHY
NOSHY dared to imagine the future of confections – free from dairy, gluten, wheat, soy, added sugars, additives and gelatin – uniting nature with artistry. NOSHY’s multi-sensory workshop of wholesome indulgence will centre on the contrast between the beauty of flowers and the thorns of romantic entanglements. Come along for a whimsical showcase of roses, taste and scent stations and to add to the “Rejection & Reflection Rose Wall”, where participants can creatively express their past love experiences and reflect on the complexities of modern romance. Professor Jonathan Sackier will also demystify the wonders of love and romance, with playful diagnoses and prescriptions.
28 February: Garden to Garment
14 March: Awakening the Senses
28 March: Pop Art & Printmaking – A Spring Celebration
11 April: Beyond the Bloom
2 May: Botanical Bodies
Themes and activities will include Valentine’s Day love letter writing, a LFW-inspired block printing workshop, Pop Art printmaking sessions, costumed life-drawing, and a tarot card reading class. Check back soon for more info!
