26 July – Draped Drawing & Silk-Tying

Don’t miss our penultimate Summer Late. Tickets include:

• A drapery life drawing class and a silk-tying workshop

Draped Drawing with the Saatchi Gallery Learning Team
Using only fabrics and pins, models will form creative silhouettes of their body for participants to draw and sketch. These poses will be held for both short and long periods, with direction and support provided by the Saatchi Gallery Learning team. Open to all levels, materials will be provided for those attending. 

Silk-tying with Strathberry
We are delighted to be joined by Scottish luxury brand Strathberry who will be hosting a silk-tying workshop, showcasing the versatility of small pieces of material, adding personality and depth to any item of clothing or accessory. The ties can be looped and knotted in infinite ways – and there is always a way to make it yours. At Strathberry, silk ties are traditionally added to the brand’s iconic handbags to lend a personal touch.

6 Sept – Strike a Pose: ‘Voguing’ Life Drawing

Join us for our final Late of the season. With London Fashion Week coming up, visitors are invited to join us for a life drawing session where models and an MC will perform and pose for you to draw, sketch, and feel inspired. Tickets include:

• Entry to all current Ground Floor Shows
• Bar open to 8:30pm
• A guided ‘Vogue’ Life Drawing class

‘Voguing’ is a highly stylised, modern house dance originating in the late 1980s that evolved out of the Harlem ballroom scene of the 1960s. It is inspired by the poses of models in fashion magazines, like many of those you will see in the Beyond Fashion exhibition.
